It seems that this year, the cold and flu season has hit hard.  I don’t think I have met anyone this year, who hasn’t had a cold or flu.  Although Essential Oils can’t cure these diseases, they can definitely help.  What I like to do is use a diffuser or put a pot of boiling water on the stove and then add a few drops of essential oils to it.  You would be amazed at how fast some peppermint or tea tree can help you decongest.

Here are some blends that you might want to try;

6 drops of Lavender – 6 drops of lemon – 1 drop of peppermint (can help with congestion)

6 drops of Tea Tree – 2 drops of Tea Tree (can help with congestion)

1 drop of Thyme – 3 drops of Eucalyptus – 6 drops of Lemon (can help purify the air)

There are many different blends, but these are the ones I like to use. I have many different therapeutic essential oils, so if you don’t see what you are looking for, just ask me. Just remember that essential oils are pure concentrated oils that come from plants.  They can be dangerous, if they are not used properly.  Our essential oils are not meant to be used internally, and never to be applied neat to the skin.  Always dilute a drop or two into and ounce or so of carrier oil, before applying to the skin.  Before using any essential oils, please do your research.
